Introduction of Tsukuba Science City through
the use of High Definition Television This
system has been set up to provide visual information on the characteristics of
Ibaraki Prefecture, and the background and future of Tsukuba Science City. It
is shown in four parts on a 1.4 meter * 1 meter screen, and can be viewed in Japanese,
Chinese, Korean, English, French and Spanish.

of Ibaraki Prefecture
- Ibaraki's
location, history, sightseeing spots, and special characteristics. (Approximately
3 minutes)
- (2)The
birth of the Science City
- Details
on the site proposal, the following purchase of the land, the construction process
and the final completion of the area. (Approximately 3 minutes).
- (3)The
present condition of Tsukuba
- The
construction of the Science City, the main research institutes, and the projects
they are carrying out, and the introduction of study tours of these facilities.
(Approximately 3 minutes).
- (4)The
future of Tsukuba
- Plans
for the greater Tsukuba area, the Tsukuba Express line, the Metropolitan inter-city
Expressway Project and the Tsukuba International Congress Center.
